Born in Salerno in 1972, Toni Volpe graduated cum laude from the Milan Politecnico in Management, Industrial and Economics Engineering in 1997 and obtained an MBA from Columbia University’s School of Business, New York in 2002.
He began his professional career at Decathlon in France, before moving into management consultancy in 1998 at Bain & Company in Milan. Toni transitioned to the energy sector in 2004, joining the corporate strategy department of Enel Group in Rome. He became CEO and Chairman of Enel Green Power North America in 2005 assuming several other roles during his tenure with Enel. As CEO of Enel Romania in Bucharest, Toni managed the largest DSO in the country and several other businesses concurrently.
He joined Renantis as CEO in 2016 and spent a two-year stint as a member of the Board of WindEurope beginning in 2020 and, in 2021, he was appointed as an independent director of Shoals Technologies, listed on Nasdaq.
Toni was awarded CEO of the year – Green Energy category at the 2021 CEO Awards, hosted by Forbes, Italy.
