Making a positive contribution to society is core to the values of Ventient Energy and this summer 3 of our colleagues are doing their bit with a very special charity cycle.
Stuart Hastie (Control Centre Manager), Marcus McGinley (Technical Manager) and Tony Crombie (Regional Asset Manager) will be embarking on an 867 mile cycle from Lands End, Cornwall all the way to John O’Groats, Caithness. They will be completing the challenge over 10 days, just under 100 miles per day and plan to pass a few of our wind farms along the way.
The team have various levels of fitness and experience on bikes! Check out some of the training here http://tiny.cc/17n05y and see their route on the map below:
It’s a mighty effort with a target to raise £20,000 for 3 charities:
- Macmillan Cancer Support
- Scottish Charity Air Ambulance
- Scottish Association for Mental Health
Please contact us to discuss sponsorship opportunities and help us raise £20,000 for 3 very worthy causes.
