Ricardo Rocha

Q. How long have you been at Ventient for?

A. 9 years.

Q. Ricardo, in your time at Ventient what achievement are you most proud of?

A. Successfully delivering the construction of A’Chruach wind farm on time and on budget.

Q. What do you think is the best thing about working at Ventient?

A. Ability to manage your own schedule and the trust in our ability to get the job done well. Also focus on staff wellbeing is rather exceptional.

Q. What do you think about Ventient culture and the company’s support for people development and wellbeing?

A. The culture builds a great work atmosphere, excellent team support, and is results oriented. We have very supportive teams. We are incentivised to take up new training and skills and regular follow ups with our line managers. My line managers have consistently focused on providing any required support and resources. I started in the company in 2012 as a Construction Project Manager and managed the construction of both Wingate and A’Chruach wind farms. After 4 years, I moved onto an Asset Manager role which provided me with invaluable experience on the day-to-day management of our assets and associated high voltage systems. Most recently, I have been promoted to Engineering Project Manager which comes with its own challenges and learning opportunities. Ventient’s wellbeing and benefits have come a long way and are very good. It is also clear to me there is a continuous drive for improvement which is encouraging.

Thanks for sharing, Ricardo!
