Ventient Energy has expanded operations across continental Europe by adding 69 onshore wind farm sites in Belgium, France, Germany, Spain and Portugal to the company’s growing portfolio.

The company now owns and operates a total of 103 onshore wind farms with a combined installed capacity of around 1.9GW.

“These are very exciting times for Ventient Energy and the renewable energy sector,” said CEO, Mark Jones. “We’ve added a strong range of high-quality assets to our portfolio and, with the ongoing support of our institutional investors, we’re well placed to continue with our expansion plans.”

While portfolio operations will continue to be directed from the company’s HQ in Edinburgh, an administrative office has been established in Luxembourg as part of the expansion plans.
