We currently have 34 operational onshore wind farms, stretching the length of Great Britain from Cornwall to Caithness.

A’Chruach is a 21 turbine wind farm located in Kilmichael Forest approximately 4km west of Minard and north of Loch Glashan in Mid-Argyll, Scotland. It was approved by Argyll and Bute Council in June 2011.

Ardrossan wind farm, Ayrshire, Scotland has an installed capacity of 30MW. It has been generating since March 2004 and was extended in 2009.

Following the completion of Bears Down Wind Farm in July 2001, the project was officially opened by local school children on 20 September 2001.

Beinn Ghlas wind farm, Argyll and Bute , Scotland has an installed capacity of 8.4MW. It has been generating since May 1999.

Blackstone Edge wind farm, South Yorkshire, England has an installed capacity of 7.5MW.

The project was originally granted planning permission and was intended to run until 2019, but a new application has been submitted to allow the wind farm to run for many more years, potentially until 2027 as it continues to perform well, and contribute to the local economy and community projects.

At the time of its construction the Carno wind farm was the largest onshore wind farm in Europe, paving the way for other large developments.

The most northern wind farm in the Ventient Energy portfolio, located at Achkeepster, 30km south west of John O'Groats. Causeymire became fully operational in 2004. 

Dalswinton wind farm, Dumfries, Scotland has an installed capacity of 30MW and was acquired by the company from Scottish and Southern Energy plc in April 2011.

The site is located some 10 miles south of Inverness, off the A9, and comprises 40 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of up to 92 megawatts (MW) - the largest in the Ventient Energy portfolio.

The wind farm will generate enough electricity every year to supply the average needs of aroud 17,000 homes, which is equivalent to almost one-third of households in the Neath Port Talbot local authority area.

The company received planning consent for the 22-turbine Galawhistle Wind Farm in August 2012.

Glenkerie wind farm in the Scottish Borders has an installed capacity of 22MW and has been generating since February 2012.

Gordonstown Hill wind farm, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, has an installed capacity of 12.5MW. 

Hill of Fiddes, Aberdeenshire, Scotland has an installed capacity of 6.9MW and was acquired by Ventient Energy in May 2012.

Kirkby Moor Wind Farm is sited approximately 4km from Ulverston, Cumbria and is one of the oldest operational wind farms in the UK having begun operation in 1993.

Lambrigg wind farm generates enough clean electricity to meet the average needs of some 2,500 homes and is located in the South Lakeland district in Cumbria.

Lissett Airfield wind farm in the East Riding of Yorkshire has an installed capacity of 30MW and is situated on the former RAF Airfield near Lissett, south of Bridlington.

The site was constructed in 1996, with many of the parts sourced from local suppliers in Angelsey.

Low Spinney wind farm, Leicestershire, England has an installed capacity of 8.2MW.

Minsca wind farm, Dumfries, Scotland has an installed capacity of 36.8MW and was acquired by Ventient Energy in April 2011.

Mynydd Clogau wind farm, Powys, Mid-Wales, has an installed capacity of 15MW and has been generating since January 2006.

Located in Ceredigion, West Wales, Mynydd Gorddu has one of the best wind regimes in the portfolio. 

North Steads Wind Farm was acquired by Ventient Energy in June 2015.

The Novar Wind Farm is located on hills of the Novar Estate in Ross-shire, north of Inverness.

Rheidol wind farm, Ceredigion, Wales, has an installed capacity of 2.4MW and was acquired by Ventient Energy in January 2011.

Seamer wind farm, Teeside, England has an installed capacity of 10.25MW and was acquired by the company in May 2012.

Ventient Energy received planning consent for the four-turbine Sisters Wind Farm in January 2013.

Taff Ely is one of the first generation of wind farms to be constructed in the UK and is located 10 kilometres (km) north east of Bridgend, south Wales.

Tedder Hill wind farm, East Riding, England has an installed capacity of 7.5MW. 

Tow Law wind farm is situated close to the ex mining village of  Tow Law  in County Durham, England.

The wind farm is located on farm land 2km east of Rhosybol village, Anglesey.

Westfield wind farm, Fife, Scotland has an installed capacity of 10MW.

Wingates wind farm, Northumberland, England has an installed capacity of 15MW.
