Following our acquisition announcement in August 2020, we are pleased to confirm the completion of the acquisition of the Portuguese wind farm operator, Iberwind.
The purchase agreement with Iberwind’s owners, CK Infrastructure Holdings Limited and Power Assets Holdings Limited obtained regulatory approval on the 15th of September.
Ventient Energy Sarl, through a wholly owned Portuguese subsidiary company, acquired the shares in PRTW Lda from the outgoing shareholders. Through this share purchase, the Ventient Energy group will own all companies and assets in the Iberwind group.
At this stage, Ventient Energy will retain Iberwind’s company name, structure and team.
“Our M&A execution reflects our strategic vision of the business. We are building an industry leading organization which spans Europe, with incredible people and value creation for the long term of our stakeholders.
Our Iberwind colleagues become a critical part of Ventient Energy’s journey and will be very important in achieving our future growth and performance together.
We are extremely excited by the combined team we have become.” said Ventient Energy CEO, Mark Jones.
The purchase of Iberwind deepens our market leading business; 2.5GW onshore wind generation across Europe with leading levels of technical, ESG and financial performance. We celebrate being able to welcome the team and working with our widened stakeholder base.
