Ventient Energy is delighted to announce that Marta Martinez and Bruce Phillips will officially join the company on 1st October 2022, replacing long serving Board members Steen Stavnsbo and Mikael Kramer.
Marta Martínez is the CEO of Cero Generation, the Macquarie Solar platform in Europe, as well as a reputable non-executive director and senior advisor for several companies owned by different international infrastructure and private equity funds.
Specialised in establishing, developing, and financing projects and in M&A transactions, she was responsible for the internationalisation process at T-Solar, covering the CEO role during the entry and the exit of I Squared Capital. She has developed a valuable capability to align teams to work efficiently together, as well as to identify opportunities and transform them into real, profitable projects.
She is joined by Bruce Phillips, a Senior Advisor at the NorthBridge Group. Bruce’s recent work has focused on electric generation markets, design of greenhouse gas policies and the deployment of low-carbon energy infrastructure at scale, and he is Co-Chair of the advisory board of the Yale Center for Business and the Environment, serving on the Board of Directors of the Clean Air Task Force, a non-profit organisation working to advance technologies and policies needed to achieve a zero-emission, high-energy planet at an affordable cost.
Ventient Energy CEO Mark Jones commented,
“The arrival of Marta and Bruce provides further valuable experience and insight as Ventient takes the next steps in evolving our business towards being a broader renewables company. Our fast-paced growth is based on best-in-class acquisition strategy, operational excellence, and efficient development and we are currently developing some of Europe’s leading multi-technology generation sites and growing further through partnerships and acquisitions to keep Ventient at the leading edge of the energy transition.”
On the outgoing members of the Board, Jones continued,
“Our expansion of renewable generation responds to the demands of people across the globe who want power from clean energy, and the acceleration requirements for the energy transition to save the planet from the irreversible effect of climate change. Mikael and Steen, as long-term Board Directors of Ventient, have provided the benefit of their outstanding collective experience, which spans both energy and beyond. In line with governance, Mikael and Steen depart after their tenures with Ventient. They have been central to the growth of Ventient over the past four years, and its creation prior to that, providing critical European insight, governance and guidance as Ventient has evolved. The Board and the management of Ventient thanks them both for their highly appreciated contribution and celebrates their time with us.”
