Nikki Warby

Q. How long have you been at Ventient and what made you want to join?

A. I joined Ventient in December 2020 as an EA and was really attracted by the good in the world Ventient was trying to do, the culture sounded amazing and the people I met during the interview process were great. I also liked that from the offset I was supported with my career progression goals.

Q. What’s the most interesting thing you’re working on at Ventient?

A. I love working with the communities and getting out in the field. I also really enjoy working with the regulatory team and public affairs, building key relationships for the business and maintaining these is something I’m really keen on.

Q. In your time at Ventient, what achievement are you most proud of?

A. Building the communication processes for the life extension and repowering projects within 3 months at the end of 2022. I was new into the role, and it was great to be given the trust to do this and it be a success. I’m proud that I’ve built this role into what it is today.

Q. What does diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) mean to you?

A. DEI is being able to be yourself without judgment. Being treated fairly and being appreciated for your unique self. Differences being celebrated and not being ignored either. We can all learn from one another, and by sharing experiences in an accessible, comfortable, and open setting it gives us all the opportunity to educate others and be educated. This hopefully will lead to a brighter and more inclusive future for all.

Q. What’s the best thing about working at Ventient?

A. The people here are all so welcoming and there really is a joint commitment to achieving the end goals.

Q. What does the Ventient Way mean to you?

A. It’s the way that Ventient make things happen, in a sensitive, professional, inclusive, and effective way.

Thanks for sharing, Nikki!
