Russell Hill

Q. How long have you been at Ventient for?

A. 11 years this September.

Q. Russell, in your time at Ventient what achievement are you most proud of?

A. I am most proud of the occasions when I have been able to help or assist others within the business, be it great or small. It gives me a great sense of wellbeing.

Q. What do you think is the best thing about working at Ventient?

A. Its sense of inclusion for all involved. Ventient seek contributions to decisions that influence how the company operates from all employees. For example, its values, vision and mission. Individual wellbeing also scores equally highly.

Q. What do you think about Ventient culture and the company’s support for people development and wellbeing?

A. It’s fully inclusive – culturally, socially, respectfully, and regardless of discrimination. I’m proud to work for a company which holds such values highly. It’s not very often that you feel that the organisation you work for has your back. Ventient’s wellbeing policies and benefits package do just that, and what they deliver not only looks after me personally but my number one concern which is my family too.

Ventient not only encourages but supports self-development. The opportunity exists for me to learn and develop not only within the scope of my own role but beyond it, increasing my understanding of a matter that I might normally seek support on from other departments is one example. Throughout my time at Ventient I’ve had the possibility to grow and take different opportunities. In fact, I have worked in four different capacities at Ventient. All of them being within operations and all have been progression. What I most like about my current role is the extreme variety of work and ability to learn something new on a daily basis.

Thanks for sharing, Russell!
